Male Skincare: How to Wash and Take Care of Your Face (Pictures)

Just because you’re a guy doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take as much care of your face as a woman does. Regardless of gender, we all must keep our skin healthy.
It doesn’t take a huge amount of effort to look after your face. However, there are a few steps that many men ignore. By the time you’re done reading this, you’ll be fully aware of all that you need to do to have healthy, smooth skin. Let’s get right to it, shall we?
Cleansing
The first step is to find a cleanser that works for your skin type. Using regular soap may leave marks on your face and even cause irritation.
Think first about whether your skin is dry, oily, or a combination of these. If it is, you’ll need to look for a gentle cleanser that focuses on that skin type. If you have regular skin, you should be able to use any natural cleanser safely.
You should wash your face no more or less than once a day. Your face will require cleansing on a daily basis due to dirt, grime, and harmful bacteria growing on it. Using a cleanser more than once a day doesn’t help your skin. It may cause it to dry out.
Exfoliation
You should also use a facial scrub once or twice a week. The facial scrub works to exfoliate your skin, removing dead skin cells and other unwanted particles from your face.
Exfoliation softens your skin and beard hair which can be useful for shaving.
Simply apply the facial exfoliation scrub to your face until it is dry then rinse it off with warm water. After doing so, you can safely shave with less chance of irritation.
Moisturization
Regardless of your skin type, applying a moisturizer every day does wonders for the skin. If you do suffer from dry skin, a moisturizer is even more imperative for you.
Applying a moisturizer every day will help your skin retain its elasticity and prevent irritation. Make sure to choose an all-natural moisturizer. If you do have a skin condition, then pick one that is designed to aid that skin type.
You should really moisturize your whole face, but the most important place to moisturize is around your eyes. (Be careful not to put any into your eye though!) Doing so will reduce the sagging, black rings that often appear around our eyes when we don’t sleep enough or get stressed out.
Shaving
When it comes to shaving your face, you really need a solid razor. Look for a sharp, good quality razor for the sake of your skin. If you use a cheap razor, you risk irritating or even cutting your skin.
I would recommend using a razor that has a double blade. Razors with single blades are not as efficient.
Before using your razor, wash your face with warm water. Doing so will soften the skin and hair, making it easier to shave. Apply shaving cream while your face is still wet. You should never shave while your face is dry unless you’re using an electric razor.
Take Care of Your Face
As you can see, we all need to take steps to keep our faces clean and healthy. Whether you are a man or a woman, you should take note of the things needed to keep your skin moist and tight. Our skin may grow back, but it will last much longer if we look after it better!
